I had to restore last week to a Sept 2017 image due to a shareware proggy going crazy and wiping out most of my desktop. A bug they STILL haven't fixed ;-)
Anyway, since I now use the latest Reflect v7.1.2697 I noticed that it took 55 minutes to image my drive (having restored the old image and fixed everything up) whereas with older version of Reflect it was a pretty consistent 35 min. I run a WinPE cold recovery and image C: (win7 x64) circa 125GB compressing down to 82GB.
So, is there a reason for the blowout in image times ? I can't see anything in setting, but I did note that the latest version runs a target disk speed check which takes a while… The target BTW is a WD 5TB USB 3.0 drive connected to the pc's USB 3 port.
Now an image is far more important than 20 minutes, but I'm just wondering how my times compare to others and if it can be improved.
Please help…
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
