When I try to schedule a task on my window xp computer, the following errors come up:

Scheduler> General page intialization failed. The specific erro is: 0x80041315: The Task Scheduler Service is not running. An error has occured attempting to retrieve task account information. You may continue editing the task object, but will be unable to change task account information.

Could not start the task scheduler service on local computer. Error 1717: The interfaceis unknown.

Is this common, serious, or can it be fixed?


Please help…
